This young idealistic guy in the picture adjacent started the company back in 1988 based on one belief. I truly believed that the residents of Hawaii would embrace the Hawaii Municipal Fund (SURFX), a no-load State of Hawaii municipal bond fund that would provide them the opportunity to earn tax-free income*.
In order to help clients with more of their financial needs, we subsequently branched out to add other investment advisory services to our clients.
35 years in business is indeed a milestone that I am very proud of. I believe that the core of our company’s success is a group of professional, committed, and hard-working employees. It seems like only yesterday that it was just 3 other staff members and me that made up the entire company. We have since grown into a group of talented, experienced professionals with over 240 years of combined experience in the financial industry.
We have also made many good friends along the way and are thankful for the support and friendship of longtime clients and business partners across the country.
While the 35 years did come with both ups and downs, I couldn’t have asked for a more exciting and rewarding career.
We have repeatedly said that we understand the money you entrust us with represents a lifetime of effort. We believe it represents a lifetime of diligent savings to help your loved ones or provide security in your retirement years.
